چکیده مقاله:

A 58 year old man was referred to suegery clinic due to dyspnea and left sided chest wall pain for three months duration.during the last 18 months some monomorph disseminated hyperkeratotic skin lesions appeared on his face and trunk.after worlup and evaluation of the patient,he underwent thoracotomy with indication of presence of a mass in the left lung.the operative finding was a huge solid round tumor arising from left lower lobe which was located inside the lung parenchyma and had loose attachment to pericardium.the tumor was removed by left lower lobectomy.pathological report of tumor in the lung.association of abrupt seborrheic keratosis and underlying malignancies indicates the sign of leser-trelat.up to 1993,a total forty eight cases of this syndrome has been reported,of which one case was diagnosed as leiomyoblastoma.since reports of definitive diagnosis of this syndrome is rare, and due to metastasis which is reported in leiomyma, though it is very rare,we can conclude that the presented patient can be a case of leser trelat syndrome or a very rare association of the two different diseases.

Irritated seborrheic keratosis with coarse keratohyalin granules.

AIMS The viral etiology of certain types of seborrheic keratosis (SK) has been a controversial subject in literature, with different molecular results. On the contrary, to the molecular approach, some have suggested that certain types of SK are indeed warts, due to their morphologic features. We decided to investigate the presence of coarse keratohyalin granules in cases of irritated SK. MATE...

Dermatofibroma simulating seborrheic keratosis dermoscopically*

Dermatofibroma is a frequent benign tumor of easy clinical diagnosis in most cases, but that can mimic other dermatoses. Dermoscopy may help to define the diagnosis and its classical pattern is a central white area, similar to a scar, surrounded by a discrete pigment network. However, dermoscopic findings are not always typical. We describe here a case of dermatofibroma exhibiting ridges, furro...

Clinical and Histopathological Investigation of Seborrheic Keratosis

BACKGROUND Seborrheic keratosis (SK) is one of the most common epidermal tumors of the skin. OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to analyze the clinical and histopathological features of a relatively large number of...

Dermatoscopic Findings of Seborrheic Keratosis in Melanoma.

Cutaneous melanoma may in some instances be confused with seborrheic keratosis, which is a very common neoplasia, more often mistaken for actinic keratosis and verruca vulgaris. Melanoma may clinically resemble seborrheic keratosis and should be considered as its possible clinical simulator. We report a case of melanoma with dermatoscopic characteristics of seborrheic keratosis and emphasize th...

Seborrheic keratosis of the external auditory canal.

An 83-year-old woman presented with a 10-year history of a slowly growing, painful mass in the left auricle and bloody otorrhea. We observed a sharply delineated, domelike blackish-brown verrucous nodular elevation with a greasy scaled surface extending from the left cavum concha into the external auditory meatus (Fig. 1). Gentle manipulation of the growth resulted in mild bleeding and caused s...
